AWANA is an international children’s program committed to “reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him.” AWANA leaders, together with parents, work to help children grow in their faith, memorize Scriptures, and develop a strong foundational understanding of the Bible. AWANA is for children ages three through 5th grade, and meets Sunday evenings from 5:45pm – 7:15pm, September through May. You may join us at any time throughout the year!

A Typical AWANA Club Meeting

Before every AWANA night we have a church wide dinner. The menu is posted on the events page calendar. We meet in the gym at 6:00 pm every Wednesday and a donation of $3 is accepted for those wishing to donate.

During a typical AWANA club meeting, children 3 years of age through 5th grade do a worship song and their pledges starting at 6:30 pm.  After pledges children are divided into different age groups, which allows them to be better taught at their level.

Handbook Time

Children work one-on-one with an AWANA leader or mentor to complete assignments in their AWANA handbook. AWANA emphasizes Scripture memorization and a basic foundational understanding of how we can defend the Christian faith. Awards and AWANA bucks are given to reward achievements.

Game Time

Children play fun, active games in our gym. Every child gets a chance to play every week, and we always play games where the most number of children can participate at a time.

Large Group Time

Children come together for a large group time involving a Bible lesson lead by their group leader.

Children ages 3 and 4 follow a separate schedule which includes a Bible lesson, Scripture memorization (short, simple verses), snack, and craft.

For ages 3-5 years of age

This preschool program is centered on the word of God and includes a cute character named Cubbie the Bear and friends. The Apple Seed and Honey Comb Handbooks are geared to encourage parental support and teach Bible truths along with popular preschool concepts of color, shapes, and letters.

For Grades K-2nd

Sparks is the Awana club designed for children in Kindergarten through second grade and builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The aim of the program is to take this age group a step deeper into God’s Word, while giving unsaved boys and girls opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.

Sparky, the friendly firefly, encourages boys and girls to learn verses and complete handbook assignments.

Each handbook is firmly grounded in Scripture and features:
 - Basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible
 - Increased emphasis on Scripture memory, focusing on salvation and key Christian doctrine Clear and consistent presentation of the gospel message

For grades 3rd-5th

All 3rd through 5th graders are Awana T&T clubbers. Our goal is to teach these older children the truth of God's Word and train them to serve Him in their daily lives.

Each clubber begins with the Start Zone booklet. We want them to know what it means to trust Christ as their Lord and Savior so it explains salvation to the children on their first night at club.

God's Word says, "Even a child makes himself known by his acts" (Proverbs 20:11). We believe that once a clubber has trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior, he or she is able to serve Christ immediately. The handbooks include requirements that focus on serving others that help them develop this attitude.

Once a clubber completes the Start Zone Booklet, he or she will receive their first handbook from The Ultimate Adventure Series. During their T&T experience, clubbers will progress through three handbooks at their own pace.

Clubbers receive an award badge with places to mark the completion of each handbook segment. In addition to these regular sections, there are extra-credit sections (with special awards) throughout the handbooks.
